Haor Discussion Session and Photo exhibition

Photo exhibition highlighting the issues regarding livelihood opportunities for the PEP living

SHOUHARDO III program of CARE Bangladesh has recently organized a discussion session on “Development efforts for improving livelihood opportunities for the Poor and Extreme Poor (PEP) living in the Deep Haor” at Sunamganj, Sylhet. The discussion meeting was organized with the aim to gather learning and insights from the officials of government, NGO, private sectors and media working for better livelihoods for the poor and extreme poor community living in the deep haor. Md. Abdul Ahad, Deputy Commissioner, Sunamganj was present as the Special Guest and Md. Mezbah Uddin Chowdhury, Divisional Commissioner, Sylhet was present as Chief Guest at the event.







The program gathered lessons and insights from the government, NGO, private sectors and media representatives on the long term effective strategies to improve the livelihoods opportunities of the PEP living in deep haor.

In addition to the discussion session, the program organized a photo exhibition highlighting the issues regarding livelihood opportunities for the PEP living in the deep haor.
