The monsoon season in this region runs from May to September, with most acute conditions for tow months from mid-June, bringing risks of flooding, landslides and wind. The effect of the weather is multiple by building restrictions in the camps, which mean that shelters must be basic and temporary, so they are extremely vulnerable to inclement weather
