CARE Bangladesh Organized Inauguration Ceremony of Mobile Servicing Training

On September 3, 2019, CARE Bangladesh organized an inauguration ceremony of ‘Mobile Servicing training for married and unmarried adolescent girls’ at Technical Training Center (TTC) of Kurigram. Mobile Servicing Training is a part of IMAGINE Project  is funded by Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation while technical support is providing by CARE Bangladesh and implementing by Mahideb Jubo Somaj Kallayan Somity (MJSKS) in Belgacha and Punchgachi union of Kurigram Sadar Upazila.

The aim of the project is to delay first birth at least 6 months or more above the average among the married adolescent girls of 15-19 year old in intervention areas by 2021. In purpose of women’s economic empowerment, 25 adolescent girls will be trained with month-long training on ‘mobile servicing’ provided by Technical Training Center, Kurigram and by September 2019.

The event was inaugurated by Hafizur Rahman, Additional District Commissioner. Furthermore, deputy director of Department of Women Affairs, Shahana Akhter, Technical Coordinator of IMAGINE project and CARE representative, Biswajit Mondal were present among others.
