Shamima Akhter works as Project Officer for the CARE-GSK CHW Initiative Project and discussed about her commitment towards her work. “I go to work every day knowing that my purpose is to help those who need it the most. I feel socially and morally obligated to provide service, especially while we try to overcoming the devastating effects of the flood during a pandemic.”, she said
So far Shamima has been able to ensure the delivery of necessary logistic support from the Union Council for the Union health and Family Welfare center and the community clinic. That being said, working closely with the Union Council and the Health and Family Planning Department by constantly keeping contact with them during the situation of Covid-19 and the floods. Shamima also ensures the PCHBs stay active during the times of COVID-19 and the floods.
