Founded in 1945, CARE is a leading humanitarian organization fighting global poverty with special focus on working with girls and women. CARE currently works in over 100 countries. In today’s Bangladesh, CARE started its journey in 1949 and our current programs are focused on Women and Youth Empowerment, Health and Nutrition, Humanitarian and Climate Action, and Food and Agricultural Systems. The goal for the new Country Program Strategy is to ensure that 15 million people in Bangladesh, especially women and girls, are leading gender equal and resilient lives by 2030.
The fifth Urban Dialogue, organized on 1-2 November at Senate Bhaban on Dhaka University campus, concluded with a declaration. The declaration identified the problems of the capital and suggested some recommendations as well.
