A collective effort of the four organizations--CARE, HarvestPlus, iDE, and The Hunger Project (THP)--are proposing to tackle these pressing nutrition challenges through a multisectoral, gender-responsive strategy. The collaboration aims to improve the nutritional status of women and children under the age of five.
To improve the wellbeing of children and pregnant women in Bangladesh through increasing household food and nutrition security, improving care and feeding practices; strengthening nutrition and health services; and promote women’s empowerment and leadership.
Collectively, the program aims to directly reach 132,000+ persons consisting of 25,000+ pregnant women and 32,000+ children under five.
The initiative’s integrated model will reinforce both health and market systems to improve the wellbeing of mothers and children through three interlinked pathways:
Outcome 1: Increased equitable consumption of diverse, nutritious, safe, and healthy diets
Outcome 2: Increased equitable access to and use of quality health and nutrition services
Outcome 3: Improved delivery of multisectoral health and nutrition services and supplies by local government
