CARE distributes cash to the flood affected people

CARE Bangladesh has started cash distribution for the flood affected people with funding from START Bangladesh Fund and UK Aid. As part of that, a total of 500 households today received a one-time multi-purpose cash Taka 4000 (50 USD) each. The distribution took place in Shimulbari Union under Fulbari Upazila of Kurigram district in northern Bangladesh.
In his opening remarks the local Union Council (UP) Chairman Mr. Ejahar Ali extended thanks on behalf of his union to UKAID, Start Fund, CARE Bangladesh, and Solidarity (partner NGO).
CARE Bangladesh Assistant Country Director – Programs Mr. Arshad Muhammad also attended the event.
